The ARNIS network recording system is a comprehensive tool that enables record keeping of devices and network elements using different technologies. The system enables record keeping of optical cable networks, multi-pair copper cable networks and coaxial-cable networks, including construction infrastructure. The intuitive interface enables effective record keeping of all network elements from the main node to the end node. The accuracy of maps is increased by using a customised background map created using data from different sources. The ARNIS system will be a perfect fit for both industrial enterprises, service companies and operators.
A solution based on a local, independent map server,
Individually generated map sets based on information from various GIS data sources,
Positioning of map objects according to the WGS-84 coordinate system,
Server operation is based on the TERYT standardised address dictionary (National Official Register of Territorial Division, maintained by GUS: Statistics Poland) and address points (GUGiK: the Polish Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography) – import to the ARNIS database,
Automatic and intelligent marking of building addresses based on the geographical coordinates of a positioned map object.
VECTOR BASE
Importing any number of DWG/SHP vector base mapping files (geodesic maps, building plans, etc.) into the database,
Possibility to update existing vector base maps without interfering with the recorded objects of the System Users,
The visibility of vector base layers can be adjusted individually (during system configuration).
NETWORK DEVICE LIBRARY
A library of standard devices and network elements,
A set of attributes dynamically defined by the User specifying the devices and network elements used to build object metrics (passporting),
Possibility to define standard User objects using predefined objects which are available in an existing object repository or by using the built-in wizard,
The built-in wizard of typical devices and network elements takes into account building objects and devices made in various technologies (e.g. multi-pair copper cable telecommunication networks, xPON fiber-optic networks, LAN/MAN/WAN computer networks, radio systems),
The option of automatically assigning names to registered network elements (numbering stamps, name catalogues).
WAREHOUSE OF OBJECTS
Moving and downloading an object to the warehouse together with its metrics and attachments, which makes it possible to re-use the same object in a subsequent inventory process,
Defining groups of objects that can be moved to the warehouse,
Creating objects in the warehouse with the option of editing their metrics and adding attachments,
Possibility to define various warehouses (damaged devices warehouse, new devices warehouse, etc.),
Moving objects between warehouses,
Disposal of objects in the warehouse.
ATTACHMENT MODULE
Attaching files and documents in any format, e.g. JPG photos, text documents (e.g. doc, pdf, txt), drawings and diagrams (e.g. AutoCad, VISIO),
Document preview through built-in system tools (image file viewer, PDF, text file editor, etc.),
Granting read, edit (add, delete) and download document rights to individual System Users,
Automatic generation of telecommunication network block diagrams,
The option to export reports to files, including: CSV, XLS/XLSX, XML, JPG/PNG.
REPORTS
Built-in tools for configuring the form of User reports,
Defining individual report templates and saving report parameters to a file or database,
Specialist filters specifying the report outcome coupled with the option to customise the attributes of objects in individual reports,
Automatic generation of a full report to the Information System on Broadband Infrastructure (SIIS) for the Polish Office of
Electronic Communications (UKE) based on data entered into the system.
ARCHITECTURE
multi-user client-server operation,
the ability to work on unconnected map areas (projects) and grant appropriate permissions to individual System Users,
the ability to work on multiple map bases simultaneously as part of a single project (inventory of unconnected networks),
The ability to encrypt the client-database connection.
INTERFACE
Customisation of application appearance and position of windows docked on multiple monitors thanks to TDI technology,
Configuration of system parameters and tools,
A smart hint system showing message sets,
An intuitive interface facilitating network inventory.
INVENTORY TOOLS
Presenting internal elements of map objects in graphical and tabular forms,
An advanced drawing editor for detailed network diagrams enabling the creation, visualisation and printing of detailed diagrams of internal connections between network nodes,
Automatic calculation of telecommunications cable length including all inventories based on the actual route,
Routing for selected subscribers and presenting the entire route on a map,
Visualising the cable network with different volumes of subscriber traffic (BUSY condition),
The use of built-in wizards to define network elements allows for more effective inventory taking by dynamically defining: different shapes of primary ducting profiles, a large number of secondary ducting pipes and micro-duct pipes as well as determining the colour scheme and network end devices,
Import of construction infrastructure from selected layers of geodesic maps in the form of DX files,
Quick replacement of devices with new ones without interfering with the already recorded connection,
Automatic route setting from one point to another with full graphic visualisation and a set of intermediate points,
Dynamic defining of primary, secondary and micro-ducting profiles,
Presentation of the registered devices in the form of file indexes, e.g. a cable file index displaying the connection route.
HOW CAN YOU PURCHASE ARNIS?
The ARNIS network recording system is implemented in the client-server architecture in both a single user and multi-station model. It is based on the proven architecture of the PostgreSQL database. The system structure is also adapted to performing backups efficiently by separating individual database servers and a document repository. It is possible to use virtualisation.
Due to its unique architecture, it is distributed under the terms of a traditional perpetual license. Technical support and access to updates is provided after payment of a separate fee.
